Chipper Jones played an amazing 19 years with the Atlanta Braves, and is considered a shoo-in first ballot hall of famer. Jones was part of the Braves run of 14 consecutive division titles, and helped Atlanta to a World Series Championship in 1995. In 1999 he was named National League Most Valuable Player after hitting .319 with 45 HR’s and 110 RBI’s. On June 28th, Jones number 10 will be retired by The Braves. This is a must-attend speaker event for any Atlanta Braves fan.

DB Buck Fitzgerald (1997-2001): Most memorable moment: Pass defended on Florida’s failed 2-point conversion attempt in Tennessee’s 34-32, upset win at Florida.
WR Jayson Swain (2003-2006): Finished his Tennessee career with 126 receptions for 1,721 yards and 10 touchdowns.
WR Justin Hunter (2011-2013): 18 career receiving touchdowns, tied for fifth-most in career at UT. 1,812 career receiving yards, 11th all-time
OL Bubba Miller (1992-1995): Started all but one game on the offensive line for the Volunteers from 1992-95 and was a captain his senior year.
K James Wilhoit (2003-2006): 3rd on on the all-time list for field goals made with 82.
RB Travis Stephens(1997-2001): UT’s all-time single season rushing leader. Ran for a career-high 226 yards in the Vols’ 34-32 win at Florida in 2001.

Franklin has led a resurgence in Vanderbilt football that has shocked the college football world. In his 2 seasons at the helm, Franklin has led the Commodores to berths in the Liberty Bowl & Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl. Prior to that, Vanderbilt had been to 1 bowl game since 1983. Vandy’s 9 wins last season were the most by the school since 1915.

Smart has been defensive coordinator of the University of Alabama since 2008 & during that time the Crimson Tide has won 3 national titles. In 2012 Smart was named the American Football Coaches Association “Assistant Coach Of The Year”. Smart almost certainly will get a head coaching job soon, as his Alabama defenses have dominated NCAA statistics.

The Nashville Predators have one of the most loyal fan bases in the NHL, and will play a prominent role in the Music City Sports Festival. The Preds will host an alumni speaker series event at 3 pm, and there are sure to be great insights from the alumni who helped build the franchise from its expansion inception.
Scott Walker is a true Day 1 Predator. Claimed by Nashville from Vancouver in the 1998 Expansion Draft, Walker spent 7 seasons with the Predators. He ranks among the franchise leaders in games played, goals, assists and points.
UK Men’s Basketball National Title Reunion

The 1996 Kentucky Wildcats are considered one of the best NCAA title teams of all-time. Guard Derek Anderson will lead the speaker series, and he has just published a new book entitled “Stamina”. The book chronicles Anderson’s difficult childhood all the way through his NBA career. Anderson played for legendary coach Rick Pitino, and will be joined by a yet-to-be determined player off that national title team.

Considered by many to be the most powerful sports agent in college athletics. Among Sexton’s most notable clients are Alabama football coach Nick Saban, quarterback Tim Tebow, South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier and retired NFL coach Bill Parcells. Sexton is a 1984 graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Anthony Munoz was inducted to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in 1998 after a 13 year career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Munoz is considered by many to be the best offensive lineman in NFL history. Munoz was 3rd overall pick in the 1980 NFL draft. He had an illustrious career in college at USC, and led the Trojans to a 17-16 Rose Bowl win over Ohio State. Munoz was named NFL Offensive Lineman of the Year in 1981, 1987 and 1988. In 2010, Munoz was ranked #12 on the NFL network’s The Top 100 Greatest Players.

It’s all things MTSU with football coach Rick Stockstill, basketball coach Kermit Davis, women’s basketball coach Rick Insell, and athletic director Chris Massaro. This speaker series will be hosted by Blue Raider play-by-play voice Chip Walters, and comes on the heels of a very successful athletic year for MTSU.

Becky Burleigh, Head Women’s Soccer Coach, University of Florida. Owner of a National Title and several SEC Titles, she coached US National Team stars Abby Wambach and Heather Mitts in college.

It is estimated that 3.8 million concussions occur each year in the United States from sports related activity, and with that in mind, Baptist Hospital Medicine understands the importance of proper concussion management. They are putting together this speakers series specifically to help parents better understand the warning signs of concussions. This is a must-attend for parents with children participating in athletics.
Dr. Jason Hubbard is a neurosurgeon with the Howell Allen Clinic and the concussion expert for Baptist Sports Medicine. Dr. Hubbard, in conjunction with Baptist Sports Medicine, established the first concussion program in middle Tennessee for high school athletes. The program utilizes the same cognitive testing that is now mandated by the NFL. Dr. Hubbard is the team neurosurgeon for 22 high schools and 3 universities. He is a board certified neurosurgeon with the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons, member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Tennessee Neurosurgical Society and Nashville Surgical Society.

Chance Warmack: Selected by the Titans with 10th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Warmack was a 3-year starter at Alabama. He was a member of all 3 of Alabama’s National Championship teams under Nick Saban. Earned All-American honors in 2012.
